Purchase information: order details for the courses and workshops you enroll in. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and anonymized usage analytics.

2. How we use your information

To deliver the courses, workshops, certificates, and account features you purchase or sign up for.
To send transactional emails (receipts, enrollment confirmations, password resets).
To send optional marketing emails, only if you have subscribed, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To secure the platform, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
To improve our courses and website through aggregated analytics.

We process your data under one of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (delivering courses you purchased), your consent (marketing emails, optional cookies), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, product improvement), and legal obligations (tax records).

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with vetted service providers that help us operate qlev:

Hosting & database: our platform provider hosts the website, database, and file storage.
Payments: our payment processor (Stripe or equivalent) handles all payment card processing.
Email delivery: transactional and (opt-in) marketing emails are sent through our email infrastructure provider.
Analytics: we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage.

All processors are bound by written agreements and process data only on our instructions.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and learning records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax and legal requirements. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, hashed passwords, row-level access controls, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is 100% secure, so we ask you to use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

qlev is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and email providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).
